Christina Roy has been a part of the Newcastle Village Physiotherapy team since 2010. Christina completed an Honours BA in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008. She went on to attend Queen’s University and received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2010. Since graduating, Christina has completed continuing education courses in Acupuncture, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Rehabilitation for Post-Concussion Syndrome, and the prevention of running injuries. She is a member of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and has completed the CPA’s Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Levels I-III.

When she is not at the clinic, Christina is probably out for a run, taking a yoga class or playing field hockey.

I have been involved in physical fitness and strength training from an early age and gravitated towards studying Physiotherapy at Queen’s University.

I have completed post graduate training in Manual Therapy in the Orthopedic Syllabus of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and was blessed to participate in many training and educational opportunities from some of the best minds in our profession.

I have been involved in resistance training for 40 years with a long history of designing and implementing goal directed exercise plans.

I have competed in Paddling events in Dragon Boat and Outrigger Canoe and still enjoy canoe paddling today.

I am pleased to serve the physical health needs of the good people of the Durham region since 1994 and can be found currently practicing outpatient physiotherapy at Newcastle Village Physiotherapy in Newcastle, Ontario
